Paua Shell / Mother of Pearl

Paua is a type of Abalone that is only found in New Zealand. Their shells are a beautiful, with swirls of greens, blues and purples.  

Mother of pearl is a beautiful iridescent substance found on the inside of mollusk shells. It is popular in jewellery because of it's lustrous look and smooth texture.
