‘Come fly with me’ features a dancing pair of pīwaiwaka/fantail carrying banners of mānuka, swooping and spreading their beautiful wings and tail feathers, rejoicing in the bountiful supply of food.
Believe it or not, pīwaiwaka/fantail birds are one of Aotearoa/New Zealand’s fierce hunters! And those beautiful long tail feathers aren’t just for looks, they also help them to twist and turn very quickly during flight.
Their favourites are moths, flies, spiders, wasps, beetles, and the occasional fruit. Yum, yum! We are so lucky in Aotearoa/New Zealand to have such a friendly, joyful little bird hanging around.
Art work by Northland based artist, Katy Hayward. This drawing was inspired by her aroha/love for going on beautiful bush walks with her little family, and the joy of being followed by these friendly little birds who dart and chase her daughter around.

We have two stores, our first store was opened almost 10 years ago in Whangaparaoa, with our Milford store opening a few years later...

A large percentage of the products we sell in our stores are made and designed by us, for example our NZ Art Designs range. Owner Debbie Morgan has created this range of products using her own artwork. ALL of this range is made right here in NZ, even down to the packaging which is also made locally :)
